Nandita began her musical studies at the age of seven in Baldock, Hertfordshire. She graduated with a First Class Honours degree in Music (BMus) from King's College London in 2009.
Whilst at King's, she studied violin with Diana Cummings at The Royal Academy of Music. She has since completed a Masters in Violin Performance with Clare Thompson at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and dance, where she performed in masterclasses with numerous eminent violinists including Tasmin Little and Andrew Haveron. Nandita has recently completed a Postgraduate Artist Diploma at Trinity Laban, continuing her studies with Clare Thompson as a Trinity Laban and a Trinity College London Scholar.
Nandita undertakes freelance work with various orchestras in and around London, including new BME orchestra Chineke, and also teaches violin and piano in London and Hertfordshire.
As a composer, she has had a number of her works performed and recorded, including a recording and workshop with the contemporary ensemble Lontano.
